Oktober 1902. Invalidated oval stamps made valid again by overprinting Í GILDI '02 - '03 (valid in 1902-03). Executed by Fjelagsprentsmidjan in Reykjavik. Exact printing size not known.

The Í GILDI overprints was executed on the stock of stamps hold in the main post office, as well as from the stock returned from other post offices. Even private persons could hand in (at least) half sheets to be overprinted and get the same stamps back. Overprint on stamps belonging to private persons, old printings from minor sub offices, lack of typographic material and provoked errors has resulted in quite a number of 'Ferrarities'. Properly handled stamps should exist in at least 50 copies. Errors not found in a whole setting should be looked at with skepticism. All printing sizes are estimated.

The regular overprint color was red for the values 5, 6, 20 and 25 aur, and black for the rest. 5 and 6 aur with black overprint was made by mistake by the printworks. All other variations of the color of the overprint is 'Ferrarities'.
